Join Gardeners by the Sea
Gardeners by the Sea is an award-winning local garden club in the beach area of Sussex County, Delaware. We are affiliated with Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., the seven-state Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc.

These organizations provide a wealth of resources to local garden clubs and individual members, while respecting their autonomy to focus on their own community. As you can see from our long list of service projects, the primary focus for Gardeners by the Sea is our community, but a few of our members are active on the State, Region and National level.

We invite you to attend a Gardeners by the Sea meeting as a guest if you are considering membership.

Some details you probably want to know:

If you are interested in joining Gardeners by the Sea, you are required to attend two meetings as a guest so you have an opportunity to get to know us.

Members are required to pay annual dues, attend five of our ten meetings per year (September - June), and actively participate on one committee (or more, if you like).

Our bylaws limit membership at 55 members. In the event that there are no openings at the time you apply, your name will be placed on a waiting list.

If you would like to attend a Gardeners by the Sea meeting, you must R.S.V.P. by email in advance to Kathy Leone, our Membership Chair (see link below). Please provide your full name, email address, phone number, the address of your residence and anything else you would like her to know about you. If you prefer, you can download and complete a new member application to send as an attachment to your email.
