COVID NOTICE: Meetings have been held via Zoom. We hope to resume in-person meetings when deemed safe by the CDC and State of DE.

Each month the Club meets for a light lunch, short program and a business meeting.  The meetings are held at the Ocean View Presbyterian Church, 67 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE with the exception of the December meeting which will be held off site.  Guest are always welcome to join the meeting (see calendar for more details).

Times: Gathering 12-12:30pm, Lunch 12:30-1:00pm, Program 1:00-2:00pm, Business Meeting 2:00-3:00pm.

September 11, 2020 - "How To Photograph Flowers with your Smartphone"

Program Details - Ms. Walfred will guide us on how to photograph flowers. To get the right picture requires some techniques which Michele will share with us. She will provide a video presentation, "How to Photograph Flowers with Your Smartphone" for viewing at your leisure.

October 9, 2020 - "Why Test Soil?"

Program Details - A soil test can determine the current fertility and health of your soil. A home gardener might have their soil tested to determine the appropriate amendments for the intended way they will use their soil.

January 8, 2021 - "Bees"

February 12, 2021- "Tree and Plant Management"

March 12, 2021 - "Flower Gardening 101"

Presenter - Linda Peters, a Master Gardener, oversaw the Master Gardener vegetable gardens for many years and is extremely knowledgeable about vegetable and flower gardening.  

 

Program Details - Very few things are as uplifting as a flower garden. Properly planned and prepared, it is possible to have not only healthy plants, but blooms for at least nine months of the year.

April 9, 2021- "Q&A Gardening Panel Discussion"

May 14, 2021- "Worms Eat Our Garbage"

Program Details - Marion will discuss vermiculture and composting with worms and the many uses for compost. We will learn about homemade worm bins and how to maintain them and harvest your "Gardeners Gold".
